SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Robert Miller, who passed away on January 
421, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Miller was born in Joliet; he attended A.O. 
6Marshall Grade School and Joliet Township High School, where he 
7graduated in 1947; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert Miller served his country as a member of 
9the United States Army; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Robert Miller was employed as a conductor with the 
11EJ&E Railroad for many years until his retirement; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert Miller was a member of the Freemasons and 
13the National Rifle Association; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Miller was preceded in death by his 
15parents, Howard L. and Ruth Miller, and his brother, Howard L. 
16Miller; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Miller is survived by his sister-in-law, 
18Rita Miller; his nieces, Amy (Kevin Laurie) Miller-Laurie and 
19Jane (Dennis Kennedy) Miller; his nephew, Steven Miller; his

1sister, Barbara (William) Bethel; his brother, Richard (Betty) 
2Miller; his niece, Nancy Piper; his nephews, John Bethel, James 
3Bethel, and Donald Bethel; and his many cousins; therefore, be

5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
7his family and friends, the passing of Robert Miller; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Robert Miller as an expression of 
11our sympathy.
