Amends the Carnival and Amusement Rides Safety Act. Changes the Act's short title to "Amusement Ride and Attraction Safety Act". Changes the name of the Carnival-Amusement Safety Board to the Amusement Ride and Attraction Safety Board.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Carnival and Amusement Rides Safety Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Sections 2-1 and 2-3 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 2-1.
This Article shall be known and may be cited as |
| 8 | | the "Amusement Ride and Attraction Safety Act"
"Carnival and |
| 9 | | Amusement Rides Safety Act".

| 12 | | Sec. 2-3. There is hereby created the Amusement Ride and |
| 13 | | Attraction Safety Board Carnival-Amusement Safety Board,
|
| 14 | | hereafter in this Act referred to as the "Board", to consist of |
| 15 | | 9
members. One member shall be the Director. Eight members |
| 16 | | shall
be appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent |
| 17 | | of the Senate.
The term of members shall be 4 years. Of the
8 |
| 18 | | appointed members of the Board, 2 shall be operators of |
| 19 | | amusement rides, 1 shall be a registered professional engineer, |
| 20 | | 1 shall represent the insurance industry, and 4 shall represent |
| 21 | | the general public. The Board shall advise the Department on |
| 22 | | carnival and amusement safety matters.
