AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2107 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2107 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
4    "Section 5. The Commission on Government Forecasting and 
5Accountability Act is amended by adding Section 5.1 as follows:
 
6    (25 ILCS 155/5.1 new)
7    Sec. 5.1. Mapping of State revenues and expenditures. As 
8soon as practicable after the effective date of this amendatory 
9Act of the 98th General Assembly, the Commission  shall, in 
10cooperation with the  Legislative Research Unit, establish on 
11the Commission's website a geographic information system to 
12provide members of the public with detailed information 
13regarding State revenues and expenditures at different 
14geographic scales. The geographic information system shall, at 
15a minimum,  make it possible for members of the public to obtain 
16information about the geographic distribution of economic

1development projects, tax expenditures, and gross and net State 
2revenue and expenditures by   ZIP code, county, legislative 
3district, and representative district. Each State agency, as 
4that term is defined in Section  1-7 of the Illinois State 
5Auditing Act, shall cooperate with the Commission and the 
6Legislative Research Unit in furnishing the data necessary for 
7the implementation of this Section.".
