| 1 | | AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 9-190 and by adding Section 9-202.1 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (40 ILCS 5/9-190) (from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 9-190)

| 7 | | Sec. 9-190. Board powers and duties. The board shall have |
| 8 | | the powers and duties stated in Sections 9-191 to
9-202.1 |
| 9 | | 9-202, inclusive, in addition to such other powers and duties |
| 10 | | provided in
this Article.

| 13 | | Sec. 9-202.1. To reproduce records. To have any records |
| 14 | | kept by the board photographed, microfilmed, or digitally or |
| 15 | | electronically reproduced. The photographs, microfilm, and |
| 16 | | digital and electronic reproductions shall be deemed original |
| 17 | | records and documents for all purposes, including introduction |
| 18 | | in evidence before all courts and administrative agencies.

| 19 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 20 | | becoming law.
