| 4 | | "Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 5-33 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 5-33. Personal needs allowance. Subject to |
| 8 | | appropriation, for a person who is a resident in a facility |
| 9 | | licensed under the ID/DD Community Care Act for whom payments |
| 10 | | are made under this Article throughout a month and who is |
| 11 | | determined to be eligible for medical assistance under this |
| 12 | | Article, the State shall pay an amount in addition to the |
| 13 | | minimum monthly personal needs allowance authorized under |
| 14 | | Section 1902(g) of Title XIX of the Social Security Act (42 |
| 15 | | U.S.C. 1396a(g)) so that the person's total monthly personal |
| 16 | | needs allowance from both State and federal sources equals $50.
