| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Education for Homeless Children Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 1-35 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (105 ILCS 45/1-35)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 1-35. Application of Act. The
The provisions of this |
| 8 | | Act apply to all
school districts organized under the School |
| 9 | | Code, except that provisions that
relate to transportation
with |
| 10 | | respect to school districts organized under Article 34 of the |
| 11 | | School Code
shall be phased in during the 2-year period after |
| 12 | | the effective date of this
Act. However, during that 2-year |
| 13 | | period, school districts organized under
Article 34 shall |
| 14 | | continue transportation programs serving homeless
children. |
