HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Vanessa 
4"VP" Palmer of Chicago, who passed away on September 16, 2014; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Vanessa Palmer was born in Chicago on February 29, 
71960 to Nathanial Palmer and Minnie Martin; she graduated from 
8the Roberto Clemente Community Academy and attended the Career 
9Academy to pursue her passion as  a Healthcare Assistant; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Vanessa Palmer worked at the University of 
11Illinois at Chicago until 2012; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Vanessa Palmer enjoyed cooking and having her 
13family and her church family over for dinners; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Vanessa Palmer was preceded in death by her 
15parents; her brother, Clyde; and her aunt, "Momma" Mattie; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Vanessa Palmer is survived by her children, 
17Timothy "Bookie", Nakisha "Keachle", Bobby "Shug", Lena 
18"Cush", Darius "Duke", and LaTifah "Tmoney"; 13 grandchildren; 
192 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ronald (LaToya) and 
20Michael; her godchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews,

1cousins, family, and friends; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we mourn the passing of Vanessa "VP" Palmer, and extend our 
5sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew 
6and loved her; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of Vanessa Palmer as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
