HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Telecommunicator 
4Specialist Debra "Jody" Baggerly on the occasion of her 
5retirement from the Illinois State Police District 9 in 
6Springfield; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Debra Baggerly  was hired as a Telecommunicator 
8Trainee by the Illinois State Police on January 4, 1988; she 
9was promoted to Telecommunicator on August 1, 1988 and served 
10as a Telecommunicator Call Taker and a Telecommunicator Lead 
11Call Taker; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Debra Baggerly was promoted to Telecommunicator 
13Specialist on September 1, 2007; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Debra Baggerly was selected as Telecommunicator 
15of the Year in 2013; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, For 26 years, Debra Baggerly was the initial point 
17of contact for citizens requiring emergency services and was a 
18vital life-line for the troopers in the field; she was a valued 
19member of the Springfield communications team and 
20distinguished herself as dependable, productive, and a 
21highly-regarded employee who truly earned the respect of her

1peers and sworn officers; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, Debra Baggerly officially retired from the 
3Illinois State Police on January 31, 2014 and plans to spend 
4her retirement with her husband, Robin Baggerly and their 
5family; she plans to do more writing in retirement; therefore, 
6be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
8NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we congratulate Telecommunicator Specialist Debra "Jody" 
10Baggerly on her retirement and wish her the best in all her 
11future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to Debra Baggerly as an expression of our esteem and 
14respect.
