| 6 | | WHEREAS, Saint Pascal Parish has served the Chicago |
| 7 | | communities of Dunning and Portage Park in many valuable |
| 8 | | capacities throughout the last 100 years; since the first |
| 9 | | Sunday Mass was offered on September 20, 1914, Saint Pascal |
| 10 | | Parish has been a center of life and culture on Chicago's |
| 11 | | Northwest Side; and

| 12 | | WHEREAS, Saint Pascal Parish is the home of the Archbishop |
| 13 | | of Chicago, Francis Cardinal George; and |
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Saint Pascal Parish's remarkable architecture is |
| 15 | | colloquially known as the "Silent Shrine of Spanish Art" and |
| 16 | | serves as a major attraction on Irving Park Road; built largely |
| 17 | | by out-of-work parishioners during the Great Depression, this |
| 18 | | local landmark is a visible testament to the piety and |
| 19 | | dedication of the Catholic community that calls Saint Pascal |
| 20 | | Parish home; and

| 21 | | WHEREAS, Saint Pascal Parish has established itself in the |
