HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate  Robert Large of 
4Jacksonville on the occasion of being named Illinoisan of the 
5Day by the Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Illinoisan of the Day designation is bestowed 
7by the Illinois State Fair Museum Foundation to those citizens 
8throughout the State who volunteer in their communities, 
9brighten the lives of their neighbors, and represent Illinois 
10in a positive manner; on each day of the Illinois State Fair, 
11one person is named Illinoisan of the Day out of a potential 
12pool of 12.6 million residents of this State; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Robert Large was selected as Illinoisan of the Day 
14on August 18, 2013; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Robert Large has served many service 
16organizations in his community, including the Salvation Army 
17and Jacksonville's local theatre; he has devoted countless 
18hours tutoring at North Jacksonville Elementary School while 
19encouraging his fellow Kiwanis Club members to do the same; he 
20also volunteers his time at the Western Illinois Youth Camp;

1    WHEREAS, Robert Large has been recognized for his 
2outstanding service by North Jacksonville Elementary School, 
3which has created a volunteer award in his name in recognition 
4of his selfless efforts; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Large serves as a model of hard work, 
6integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
7Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we congratulate Robert Large on the occasion of being named 
11Illinoisan of the Day by the Illinois State Fair Museum 
12Foundation and wish him continued success and happiness in the 
13future; and be it further
  
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
15presented to Robert Large as a symbol of our esteem and 
16respect.
