| 1 | | HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois General Assembly wish |
| 3 | | to honor those who have served our country with distinction and |
| 4 | | valor in the armed forces; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, The State of Illinois and the State of Missouri |
| 6 | | are constructing an additional bridge on I-70 crossing the |
| 7 | | Mississippi River; this bridge will relieve traffic congestion |
| 8 | | between the State of Illinois and the State of Missouri; |
| 9 | | therefore, be it
|
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 11 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 12 | | SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the I-70 Mississippi River |
| 13 | | Bridge connecting Illinois to Missouri currently under |
| 14 | | construction be designated, upon approval of the Illinois and |
| 15 | | Missouri State legislatures, the Veterans Memorial Bridge; and |
| 16 | | be it further
|
| 17 | | RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation |
| 18 | | is requested to erect at suitable locations, consistent with |
| 19 | | State and federal regulations, appropriate plaques or signs |
| 20 | | giving notice of the name; and be it further
|
| 21 | | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be |
