Provides that nothing in the provision requiring an investigator or other employee of the Office of the State's Attorneys Appellate Prosecutor who exercises powers of a peace officer to have a distinct badge prohibits the Director of the Office from issuing a shield or other distinctive identification to an employee not exercising the powers of a peace officer if the Director determines that a shield or distinctive identification is needed by the employee to carry out his or her responsibilities.
