<reference>625 ILCS 5/11-1431</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that any tow initiated by a law enforcement agency or officer shall be communicated by the law enforcement agency directly to the tow company by phone or computer. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>

Reinserts the provisions of the bill as introduced and provides that law enforcement officers shall allow the owner of a disabled vehicle to specify the tow company of the owner's choice if the vehicle requires towing but is not, in the opinion of the officer, obstructing traffic. Adds the provision that law enforcement communicate tow requests by phone or computer to the added Sections.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
