DATA EXCHANGE COORDINATING SponsorsGovernor 4/28/2014SenateFiled with the Secretary of State Establishes the Illinois Data Exchange Coordinating Council within the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority to establish a governance structure to guide the design, development, and implementation of a statewide-integrated criminal justice environment to enable automated information sharing in a common format between State, local, and federal criminal justice agencies. Creates a board of directors, which shall be advised by an advisory committee. Provides that the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority shall provide a Project Director and project support. Contains provisions regarding: membership of the board of directors and advisory committee; responsibilities; transparency; other orders and agreements; savings; severability; and other matters.
