| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply |
| 3 | | saddened to learn of the death of Orville St. Peter "Pat" |
| 4 | | Clavey of Waukegan, who passed away on November 20, 2012; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey was born on October 3, 1932, |
| 6 | | in Deerfield to Harry and Marion Clavey; he married Joan |
| 7 | | Tessman on May 11, 1957, in St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan; |
| 8 | | he served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and had |
| 9 | | been attached to the First Marine Division; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey was the coroner and sheriff |
| 11 | | of Lake County; after his career in law enforcement, he began |
| 12 | | USA Janitorial Service in Gurnee, which he owned until his |
| 13 | | retirement in 2000; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey was a member of Gurnee |
| 15 | | Community Church, past commander of and 50 year member of the |
| 16 | | Gurnee American Legion #771, and member of Zion-Benton Moose |
| 17 | | Lodge #1027; he was a graduate of Brean Bible School and loved |
| 18 | | reading the bible, which he did every morning and night; he |
| 19 | | enjoyed making various objects out of toothpicks such as |
| 20 | | houses, motorcycles, boats, and trains; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey was preceded in death by his |
