SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Brenda Kay McClain of Carlinville, who 
4passed away on September 17, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Brenda McClain was born to Wilburn Curtis and Vida 
6Bernice Knifley Spencer; she married C. Richard McClain on 
7August 11, 1963, at Waverly Christian Church; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Brenda McClain attended Waverly schools and 
9graduated from Waverly High School in 1961; she subsequently 
10attended Eastern Illinois University in Charleston; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Brenda McClain was a stay at home mom until she 
12went to work at Prairie Farms Dairy, where she worked in the 
13lab until her retirement in 2006 as head of the Prairie Farms 
14Lab; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Brenda McClain was a member of St. Paul's United 
16Church of Christ; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Brenda McClain was preceded in death by her 
18parents; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Brenda McClain is survived by her husband, Dick

1McClain; her son, Rich (Tammy); her daughter, Debbie Davis; her 
2grandchildren, Hunter, Luke, Ian, Conner, Cyler, and Riann; her 
3sisters, Betty (Bruce) Crane, Barb (Larry) Hale, Bonnie (Gerry) 
4Robinson, and Becky Spencer; her brother, Sonny Spencer; and 
5her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; 
6therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
9her family and friends, the passing of Brenda Kay McClain; and 
10be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Brenda McClain as an expression of 
13our sympathy.
