SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Jeffrey Scott Newyear of Milwaukee, 
4Wisconsin, who passed away on May 23, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Newyear was born on September 22, 1959, in 
6Elkhorn, Wisconsin; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Newyear graduated from Carmel High 
8School; he subsequently attended Gateway College, where he took 
9techniques of supervision courses; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Newyear served his country with pride as a 
11member of the U.S. Army from 1981 to 1983; he served in Europe 
12as a machine cell technician and held numerous supervisory 
13positions; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Newyear was an avid fan of the Green Bay 
15Packers, NASCAR, and the Chicago White Sox; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Newyear was preceded in death by his 
17father, Dean Newyear; his grandparents, Raymon and Helen Birky; 
18and his great-grandparents, Richard and Reba Sleyster and Sam 
19and Anna Birky; and

1    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Newyear is survived by his mother, Betty 
2Rae (Kaiser) Loren Stried; his uncles, Robert (Rosanna) Birky 
3and Richard (Janet) Sleyster; his step-siblings, Ron Kaiser 
4(Kim), Kathie (Steven) Ames, Gary (Darlene) Kaiser, Tim Kaiser 
5(Sheila), and Frankie Kaiser (Liane); and his many cousins; 
6therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
9his family and friends, the passing of Jeffrey Scott Newyear; 
10and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Jeffrey Newyear as an expression of 
13our sympathy.
