| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Felix Philip Sedar of Waukegan, who |
| 4 | | passed away on June 6, 2012; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born on June 19, 1927 in Waukegan; he was a |
| 6 | | retired fireman for the city of Waukegan and a United States |
| 7 | | Navy veteran; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, He is remembered by his family as a loving father |
| 9 | | with a strong will and spirit, who shared his passion, courage, |
| 10 | | and strength with the people and things that he loved; he |
| 11 | | enjoyed music (Dean Martin and Perry Como were among his |
| 12 | | favorite singers) and had a beautiful voice himself; he loved |
| 13 | | singing in the Christmas choir at his home at Barton Senior |
| 14 | | Residence; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, He loved to entertain people with his |
| 16 | | story-telling and jokes; he was an avid reader, and could not |
| 17 | | pass up a good western or detective novel; he was the biggest |
| 18 | | fan of his children as well as a devoted fan of the Milwaukee |
| 19 | | Brewers, Green Bay Packers, and Chicago White Sox; his love for |
| 20 | | animals brought him many wonderful golden retrievers as loyal |
| 21 | | companions throughout the years; and
