| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Milton C. "Milt" Jensen of Beach Park. |
| 4 | | Mr. Jensen was the mayor of Beach Park, serving his fourth |
| 5 | | term; he passed away on March 31, 2012; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, He was born in Waupaca, Wisconsin; he flew his |
| 7 | | first airplane, a Piper Cub, when he was 16 years old; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, He was a 37-year veteran of United Airlines and |
| 9 | | was active in the Retired United Pilots' Association, the Zion |
| 10 | | Benton American Legion Post #865, and the Zion Benton Loyal |
| 11 | | Order of the Moose; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, He served as mayor of Zion, in the 1970s, and was |
| 13 | | in his fourth term as the mayor of Beach Park; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Along with flying and his public service, he had |
| 15 | | numerous hobbies, most of which were related to computers; the |
| 16 | | majority of his focus was on his large and devoted family; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Milton Jensen was married to the love of his life, |
| 18 | | Ina (nee Lyons), for almost 61 years; he is also survived by |
| 19 | | his children, Don (Sue), Glenn (Cynthia), Rich (Cindy), Phil |
| 20 | | (Sandy), Julie Gonka (Dennis), Liane Leicht (Frankie Kaiser), |
