|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The total claims paid in fiscal year 2010 for the |
| 3 | | expanded ALL KIDS health insurance program enrollees were $84.2 |
| 4 | | million; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, In fiscal year 2010, the Department of Healthcare |
| 6 | | and Family Services received approximately $9.8 million in |
| 7 | | premiums from enrollees, making the net cost of the ALL KIDS |
| 8 | | expansion approximately $74.4 million; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, The children that were added to the ALL KIDS |
| 10 | | health insurance program as a part of the expansion are |
| 11 | | undocumented and are not eligible for federal reimbursement, |
| 12 | | and thus are funded entirely by the State; therefore, be it
|
| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL |
| 14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we urge the Department |
| 15 | | of Healthcare and Family Services to establish a means by which |
| 16 | | undocumented children under the All KIDS health insurance |
| 17 | | program shall be documented; and be it further

| 18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 19 | | presented to the Director of Healthcare and Family Services.
