SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Marlene C. Stern, who passed away on July 
422, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Marlene Stern was born on March 1, 1937; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Marlene Stern was a successful interior 
7decorator; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Marlene Stern was a 2-time past president of the 
9Women's Variety Club of Illinois; and

  
 
10    WHEREAS, Marlene Stern was the beloved wife of Richard S. 
11Stern; the devoted mother of Mark (Katie) Stern and Scott 
12(Stacey) Stern; the loving grandmother of Hailey, Madison, and 
13Jack; the dear sister of Renee (Marvin) Lederman; the fond 
14sister-in-law of Larry (Elyse) Stern and the late Gloria Stern; 
15and the beloved aunt of many; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
18her family and friends, the passing of Marlene C. Stern; and be
