SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Lila Lissetta Tomblin of Peoria Heights, 
4who passed away on November 12, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lila Tomblin was born on January 21, 1920, in 
6Conway, Kansas; her parents were Edward Sherman and Emma Jane 
7(Whitehead) McCabe; she married Joseph James Tomblin Jr. on 
8June 15, 1946, in Peoria; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Lila Tomblin attended Kelly Grade School; she was 
10employed at Pabst Brewery during World War II; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Lila Tomblin attended St. Thomas Church, where she 
12embraced her Catholic membership and her faith in Jesus Christ; 
13and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Lila Tomblin was preceded in death by her husband; 
15her parents; and her siblings; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Lila Tomblin is survived by her sons, Brian L. 
17(Debbie) Tomblin, David J. (Bev) Tomblin, Mark (Debi) Tomblin, 
18and Kent M. (Laura) Tomblin, and her many grandchildren, 
19great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3her family and friends, the passing of Lila Lissetta Tomblin; 
4and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Lila Tomblin as an expression of our 
7sympathy.
