| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of
Stanley C. Fayfar, Sr. of Aurora, who |
| 4 | | passed away on November 5, 2011; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. was born on April 8, 1920, in |
| 6 | | Aurora; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. served his country as an |
| 8 | | engineer with the United States Army during World War II; |
| 9 | | during the war, he built landing strips in Europe; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. was a lifelong member of St. |
| 11 | | Joseph Church, where he served for many years as an usher; he |
| 12 | | was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Montgomery post of |
| 13 | | the V.F.W., and the Phoenix Club; he also called Bingo at St. |
| 14 | | Joseph Church for many years; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. was preceded in death by his |
| 16 | | first wife, Goldie (Sipos) Fayfar; his parents, Joseph and Mary |
| 17 | | Fayfar; and his brothers, Joseph Fayfar, Albert Fayfar, and |
| 18 | | Richard Fayfar; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Stanley Fayfar, Sr. is survived by his wife, Agnes |
| 20 | | (Koos) Fayfar; his children, Kathleen (Dennis) Galloway, |
