SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Louis Schimenti of Waukegan, who passed 
4away on July 11, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born April 27, 1920 in Italy, and came to 
6this country in 1923 with his parents; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the 
8Pacific American Theater, Navy CB; he received the Silver Star, 
9the Bronze Star, and the Victory Medal; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, He retired from Abbott Laboratories in 1985; and

  
 
11    WHEREAS, Louis Schimenti is survived by his wife, Mary; his 
12sons, Edward (Joni), Louis (Michelle), and James (Coleen); his 
13grandchildren, Edward John, Daniel, Alyssa, Megan, and Erin; 
14and his sisters, Virginia Beaver and Connie Kadziakuskas; 
15therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
18his family and friends, the passing of Louis Schimenti; and be 
19it further
