SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of Fern M. Anderson of Streator, who passed 
4away on September 23, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Fern Anderson was born on August 2, 1916, in rural 
6Pontiac; her parents were Guy and Doretta (Mai) Finkenbinder; 
7she married Arthur S. Anderson on February 17, 1939; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Fern Anderson was a graduate of Cornell High 
9School and Ryburn Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 
10Ottawa; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Fern Anderson served as director of nursing at the 
12Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa; she retired as 
13administrator of Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Streator in 
141979; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Fern Anderson was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran 
16Church; she was active in many of the church's activities, as 
17well as Zonta and the Christian Women's Club; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Fern Anderson was preceded in death by her 
19parents; her husband; her granddaughter; her 
20great-granddaughter; and her brother, Austin Finkenbinder; and

1    WHEREAS, Fern Anderson is survived by her children, Dorann 
2(Daniel) Perry, James (Shirley) Anderson, and Keith (Pamela) 
3Anderson; her grandchildren, Dawn (James) Lucas, Tim (Libby) 
4Anderson, Jason Anderson, Kimberly (Chip) Tinder, and Scott 
5(Jessica) Anderson; and her nine great-grandchildren; 
6therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
9her family and friends, the passing of Fern M. Anderson; and be 
10it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Fern Anderson as an expression of 
13our sympathy.
