SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Thomas Dale "Tinker Tom" Innes of 
4Hindsboro, who passed away on October 3, 2010; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born June 29, 1949 in Tuscola to Robert 
6Dale and Nora Mae (Butcher) Innes; he married Cheryl Sue 
7Hallowell on June 14, 1968 at the Antioch Baptist Church in 
8Oakland; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, He was retired from the Illinois Department of 
10Transportation, where he worked as a highway maintainer; he 
11served as treasurer of Douglas County Pheasants Forever; he was 
12a member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge and the Bowdre Township 
13Cemetery Board, and served on the Hindsboro Community Fire 
14Protection District as Assistant Chief Firefighter and First 
15Responder; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, He enjoyed hunting and travel, and dearly loved 
17his family, especially his grandchildren; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Thomas Innes is survived by his wife, Cheryl; his 
20mother, Nora Innes; his son, Michael Dale (Denise) Innes; his

1daughters, Paula Sue Innes and fiancé, Doug Williams, Connie 
2(Jeff) Hoel, and Carol (Alan) Myers; his sister, Pam (Larry) 
3Biggs; and his grandchildren, Malcolm Innes and Jack, Alex, 
4Brittni, and Zachary Hoel; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
7his family and friends, the passing of Thomas Innes; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Thomas Innes as a symbol of our 
11sincere sympathy.
