SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Kevin Daniel Oldham of Pleasant Prairie, 
4Wisconsin, who passed away on March 11, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born May 19, 1977 in Chicago; he married 
6Katie McEssy on August 24, 2002 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in 
7Waukegan; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, He was a graduate of Warren Township High School, 
9the College of Lake County, and the Fire Science and Paramedic 
10School; he was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in 
11Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, He was employed by the City of Waukegan as a 
13firefighter and paramedic; he was a member of the Union Local 
14473, BASS, and God and Collisions; and

  
 
15    WHEREAS, Kevin Oldham is survived by his loving wife, 
16Katherine Kay Oldham (nee McEssy); his daughters, Stella Kay 
17and Evelyn Valentine; his parents, Theresa and Dan Oldham; his 
18sisters, Jennifer and Kelley Oldham; his mother-in-law, ('Ma') 
19McEssy; his father-in-law, ('TerAnce') Terrence McEssy; his 
20sister-in-law, ('Dre') Andrea Norcross; his brothers-in-law, 
21('Big Head Todd Monster') Todd Norcross and Jake Cowgill; and

1his nephews Jacob, Ethan, and Elliot Cowgill and Levi Norcross; 
2therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5his family and friends, the passing of Kevin Oldham; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Kevin Oldham as a symbol of our 
9sincere sympathy.
