SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Dan Walsh of Park Ridge, who passed away 
4on January 20, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dan Walsh was born January 11, 1959; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, He was active in many local organizations such as 
7the Indian guides with his sons, and the Indian Princesses with 
8his daughter; he was also very active in the St. Paul of the 
9Cross parish, participating in the Men's club, assisting in the 
10Sunday Suppers for the Needy, and many other church 
11organizations; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, He and his wife were active in the Bear 
13Necessities Charity for children suffering with cancer; they 
14also helped out in a variety of local community organizations 
15ranging from sports to civic initiatives; and

  
 
16    WHEREAS, Dan Walsh was the beloved husband of Nancy; the 
17loving father of Jack, Brendan, Connor, and Chloe; the dearest 
18son of Marjorie and the late Thornhill Walsh; the fond brother 
19of Patty Walsh, Michael (Barb), Heidi (Terry) Rielly, Jeanne 
20(Bill) Dinker, and David (Terry); as well as the proud uncle of 
21many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3his family and friends, the passing of Dan Walsh; and be it 
4further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Dan Walsh as a symbol of our sincere 
7sympathy.
