| 3 | | learn of the death of Joliet Police Officer James B. "Geta" |
| 4 | | Dietz of Joliet, who passed away on February 22, 2011; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born in Chicago and raised in Bolingbrook |
| 6 | | and was a Joliet resident for the past 16 years; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, He was a dedicated City of Joliet Police Officer |
| 8 | | for the past 16 years; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, He loved spending time with his family and |
| 10 | | friends, especially when he had the chance to go fishing or |
| 11 | | bowling; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne |
| 13 | | Dietz; and his brother, David Dietz; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, James Dietz is survived by his beloved fiancee, |
| 15 | | Jessie Reiter; his father, Charles Dietz; his brothers, Charles |
| 16 | | (Joanie) Dietz and Michael Dietz; his sisters, Lorie (David) |
| 17 | | Barrett, Susan (Christopher) Martens, and Tracy (Luke) Capocy; |
| 18 | | his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and his faithful canine |
