AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1539 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1539, AS AMENDED, 
3with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 
44, as follows:


 
5on page 43, lines 6 and 7, by deleting ", or any Illinois 
6Department of Transportation employee doing eminent domain 
7work"; and
 
8on page 43, immediately after line 7, by inserting the 
9following:
10    "(e-5) For the purposes of this Act, the following types of 
11valuations are not  appraisals and may not be represented to be 
12appraisals, and a license is not required under this Act to


13perform such valuations if the valuations are performed by an 
14employee of the Illinois Department of Transportation or an 
15employee of a county:
16        (1)  a valuation waiver in an amount not to exceed

1    $10,000 prepared pursuant to the federal Uniform 
2    Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition 
3    Policies Act of 1970, as

amended; or
4        (2) a valuation waiver in an amount not to exceed 
5    $10,000 prepared pursuant to the federal Uniform 
6    Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition for 
7    Federal and

Federally-Assisted Programs regulations.
8    Nothing in this subsection (e-5) shall be construed to 
9allow the State of Illinois, a political subdivision thereof, 
10or any public body to acquire real estate by eminent domain in 
11any manner

other than provided for in the Eminent Domain Act.".
