HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Commander James 
4Alexander on his retirement from the Illinois State Police 
5after 35 years; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, James Alexander has worked his way up the ranks 
7during his 35 year career; he graduated from Cadet Class #56 in 
81978 and was assigned to ISP District 2; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, James Alexander was promoted from Trooper to 
10Sergeant  in 1984 and to Master Sergeant in 1993; he transferred 
11from District 2 to Region 2 in 1995 and then from Region 2, 
12Tactical Response Team to the Metropolitan Enforcement Group in 
131999; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, James Alexander transferred to District Chicago 
15Patrol in 2002; he was promoted from Lieutenant to Captain in 
162009; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, James Alexander transferred from District Chicago 
18Patrol to District 1 Commander on May 1, 2009; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, James Alexander is married to Deb; they have 2 
20daughters, Kaitlyn Alexander and Jessica Oros and a son-in-law,

1Garrett; they have a dog, Jack; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate James Alexander on his retirement from the 
5Illinois State Police; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Commander James Alexander.
