HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4Naperville North High School Huskies girls cross country team 
5on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 3A State 
6championship; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The Naperville North High School Huskies bunched 
8their top 5 finishers within 38 seconds and scored 113-133 over 
9runner-up Lake Park to win their 5th State title at the IHSA 
10Class 3A State championship in Peoria; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, During the team race, the Huskies' Elly DeTurris 
12(14th), Maria McDaniel (21st), and Judy Pendergast (23rd) all 
13earned all-State honors; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, The members of the Naperville North High School 
15Huskies are Grace Carballo, Lizzie Deely, Elly DeTurris, Jenny 
16Gibson, Ellie Gschwendtner, Emily Hamilton, Laura Houston, 
17Kimber Meyer, Maria McDaniel, Alex Moxon, Judy Pendergast, 
18Allison Ray, Kate Shannon, Emily Smith, Jenny Smith, and 
19Allison Trezona; the team's coaches are Dan Iverson, Joanna 
20Wilson, and Eric Thornton; and

  
 
21    WHEREAS, The members of the Naperville North High School

1Huskies serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication 
2for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5congratulate the members of the Naperville North High School 
6Huskies girls cross country team on the occasion of winning the 
7IHSA Class 3A State championship and wish them continued 
8success and happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the Naperville North High School Huskies girls 
11cross country team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
