| 6 | | WHEREAS, In 1995, Sister Elizabeth implemented an |
| 7 | | expansion of the hospital, adding a professional building to |
| 8 | | the campus to house primary care and specialist providers; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Sister Elizabeth's vision and commitment to the |
| 10 | | revitalization and economic health of Englewood led to the |
| 11 | | building of Bernard Place; a 70-unit affordable housing |
| 12 | | development, Bernard Place won the prestigious Richard H. |
| 13 | | Driehaus Award for Outstanding Nonprofit Neighborhood Real |
| 14 | | Estate Project in 2004; and

| 15 | | WHEREAS, Sister Elizabeth recognized the importance of |
| 16 | | utilizing the latest advancements in technology to improve the |
| 17 | | quality of healthcare; under her direction, St. Bernard |
| 18 | | instituted electronic medical record keeping, barcode-enabled |
| 19 | | bedside medication verification, state-of-the-art digital |
| 20 | | X-rays and mammography, and a 128-slice CT system; and

| 21 | | WHEREAS, The Pediatric Mobile Health Unit, created in 2003, |
