HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the faculty and 
4students of Creal Springs School on the occasion of the 
5school's 100th anniversary on June 1, 2012; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The community of Creal Springs was created in the 
7early 18th century as a trading post named Sulphur Springs; 
8throughout the last 200 years, Creal Springs has been renowned 
9for its natural springs, which formed the basis for its 
10transformation into a booming resort community in the early 
1120th century; today, Creal Springs is still well known for its 
12springs and their purported healing abilities; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The 100th anniversary of Creal Springs School was 
14celebrated with an event featuring a dinner, tours of the new 
15state-of-the-art school facility, raffles, tours of the old 
16school, memorabilia on the wall of fame, a silent auction, and 
17a raffle, among other activities; the event also helped raise 
18funds to help support the school's current activities; and

  
 
19    WHEREAS, The faculty and students of Creal Springs School 
20serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the 
21people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate the faculty and students of Creal Springs 
4School on the occasion of the school's 100th anniversary and 
5wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be 
6it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Creal Springs School as a symbol of our esteem and 
9respect.
