HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to  learn of the death of
Susan 
4Vos, who passed away on June 5, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Susan Vos was in the hospitality industry for 30 
6years, serving 20 years with the Aurora Area Convention and 
7Visitors Bureau; she recently retired from the Bureau after 
8many years as the Bureau's CEO; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, During Susan Vos' tenure, the Aurora Area 
10Convention and Visitors Bureau grew from 5 member 
11municipalities to the current 10, and earned dozens of Illinois 
12Excellence in Tourism awards; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Susan Vos was recognized as the Legislative Leader 
14of the Year by the Illinois Council of Convention and Visitor 
15Bureaus for her work at the Aurora Area Convention and Visitors 
16Bureau; and

  
 
17    WHEREAS, Susan Vos is survived by her son, Adam; her 
18daughter-in-law, Melissa; her grandchildren, Taylor and Zoe; 
19her sister, Katherine (Keenie) Boehlke; and her many nieces and 
20nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of 
4Susan Vos; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Susan Vos as an expression of our 
7sympathy.
