HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Pamela Ihle on the occasion of her retirement as the head of support staff of the Illinois Resource Center after over 30 years of dedicated service; and

WHEREAS, Pamela Ihle is well known for her work with the Statewide ESEA Annual Conference, the Annual Statewide Conference for Teachers of Linguistically and Culturally Diverse Students, and many other professional development events; and

WHEREAS, Pamela Ihle has served as a coordinator for the annual Illinois Latino Legislative Caucus Conference for the last 8 years and is directly responsible for making the event successful; and

WHEREAS, Pamela Ihle has worked with virtually every educational entity and governmental agency within Illinois, including the Illinois State Board of Education, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, the Chicago Public Schools, Regional Offices of Education, and the Governor's Office; and

WHEREAS, Pamela Ihle coordinated a series of state-wide business educational partnerships that helped pave the way for numerous relationships between schools and the greater business community of Illinois; and

WHEREAS, Pamela Ihle will officially retire from her position at the end of February of 2012 and, with her husband, Leon, will move to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she will spend her much-deserved time with her son, his wife, and their 3 children; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Pamela Ihle on the occasion of her retirement and wish her many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Pamela Ihle as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
