HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4Villa Grove Devilettes dance team on the occasion of winning 
5the IDTA State Championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Villa Grove Devilettes began their season with 
7a first place victory at Charleston High School on January 14, 
82012; despite their tough competition, the team emerged 
9victorious from the IDTA State Championship at the University 
10of Illinois Assembly Hall on March 17, 2012; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Villa Grove Devilettes' victory marks the 
12first ever State Championship for the dance team; it is also 
13only the second-ever State championship that Villa Grove High 
14School has ever won, the last being from the basketball team in 
151923; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, The members of the Villa Grove Devilettes dance 
17team are Katina Clodfelder, Celeste Cler, Hunter Hettinger, 
18Sara Tondini, Sarah Showalter, Ashlee Turner, Carly Bushell, 
19Hannah Alvis, Bryanna Broady, Taylor Quinn, Keyaira Bielert, 
20and Cory Tibbetts; the team's coach is Alyssa Hudson; and

  
 
21    WHEREAS, The members of the Villa Grove Devilettes dance

1team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication 
2for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we congratulate the members of the Villa Grove Devilettes dance 
6team on the occasion of winning the IDTA State Championship and 
7wish them continued success and happiness in the future; and be 
8it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the Villa Grove Devilettes dance team as a symbol 
11of our esteem and respect.
