| 2 | | WHEREAS, Nurses throughout the State of Illinois and the |
| 3 | | world at large perform vital duties in the field of medicine |
| 4 | | and provide life-saving services to millions of patients |
| 5 | | worldwide; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Rachel Busch, a Registered Nurse who tragically |
| 7 | | passed away on November 6, 2011, devoted her life to helping |
| 8 | | others; she earned her Registered Nurse degree in 1985, her |
| 9 | | Master of Business Administration degree in 2003, and her |
| 10 | | Master's Degree in Nursing in October of 2011; she was employed |
| 11 | | as both a nurse and an instructor; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Rachel Busch was well known among her fellow |
| 13 | | nurses as a knowledgeable and hard-working nurse who strove for |
| 14 | | excellence and expected no less from those around her; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Advocate Condell will be establishing a |
| 16 | | scholarship in honor of Rachel Busch and her great work in the |
| 17 | | field of nursing; the scholarship will be announced during |
| 18 | | National Nurses Week in 2012; therefore, be it
|
| 19 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 20 | | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 21 | | we designate the week of May 6-12, 2012 as Illinois Nurses Week |
