HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Lawrence Jannink 
4on the occasion of his 50 years of honorable service with the 
5Pana Fire Department; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Lawrence Jannink began his career with the Pana 
7Fire Department on March 5, 1962; during his career, he has 
8held every officer position within the department, including 
9that of Assistant Chief; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Lawrence Jannink has been involved in numerous 
11community organizations, including the Oconee American Legion, 
12the Pana Knights of Columbus, the Pana Elks Club, and the Pana 
13Moose Club; he serves as an usher at St. Patrick's Catholic 
14Church in Pana; he is a 25-year member of ESDA; he served as a 
15Pana Auxiliary Police Officer for 20 years; he also served as 
16the Grand Marshal of the Pana Labor Day Parade in 2001; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Lawrence Jannink will be honored for his many 
18years of dedicated service with the Pana Fire Department at an 
19event in his honor on March 25, 2012 at 2:00 P.M.; and

  
 
20    WHEREAS, Lawrence Jannink serves as a model of hard work, 
21integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of

1Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate Lawrence Jannink on the occasion of his 50 
5years of honorable service with the Pana Fire Department and 
6wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be 
7it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Lawrence Jannink as a symbol of our esteem and 
10respect.
