HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to  learn of the death of
Donald R. 
4"Don" Smith of Harrisburg, who passed away on March 7, 2012; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Donald Smith was born on April 10, 1941, in Muddy; 
7he was the son of John William and Edith (Dardeen) Smith; he 
8married Phyllis Kay Millspaugh on May 10, 1962; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Donald Smith was a retired coal miner who worked 
10at Eagle One and at the Keensburg Coal Mine; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Donald Smith was a member of the Sons of the 
12American Legion of the Equality McLain-Glover Post No. 595; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Donald Smith was preceded in death by his parents; 
14his brother, William E. Smith; his nephew, Terry Dean Wise; and 
15his beloved dog, Maggie; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Donald Smith is survived by his wife, Kay Smith; 
17his daughters, Teresa Collins and Ida (Brad) Evans; his sister, 
18Donna Kay Wise; his grandchildren, Cory Ray Collins and Hanna 
19Kay Evans; his great-grandchild, Nathan Andrew Collins; and his 
20nephews, Johnny (Kera) Wise, Billy Joe Wise, Ronnie Eugene

1Smith, and Jason Smith; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of 
5Donald R. "Don" Smith; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Donald Smith as an expression of our 
8sympathy.
