Mary |
| 4 | | Price, who passed away on March 3, 2012; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mary Price was born on February 23, 1911, in |
| 6 | | Meridian, Mississippi; she was adopted by Archie and Clarinda |
| 7 | | Barnes; she married the love of her life, Jack Robert Price, on |
| 8 | | February 23, 1967; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Mary Price was employed at the Woodmill Hotel on |
| 10 | | 46th and Woodlawn during the 1960s; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Mary Price joined the Progressive Baptist Church |
| 12 | | in 1943 under the leadership of the late Rev. T. E. Brown; she |
| 13 | | was an active member of the church and served on several |
| 14 | | stewardships within the church, including Sunday School Class |
| 15 | | #19, the Unity Club, the Senior Citizens Club, and the Bessie |
| 16 | | Sanford Mission; "Sister or Mother Price", as she was |
| 17 | | affectionately known, was a faithful member of the church for |
| 18 | | 69 years; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Mary Price enjoyed gardening, her pets, and her |
| 20 | | church; and |
