HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Jefferson Middle 
4School/Capital College Preparatory Academy 7th grade boy's 
5basketball team on winning the Illinois Elementary School 
6Association Class 4A State championship by defeating East St. 
7Louis Clark on February 9, 2012; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, The Jaguars were 24-0 for the season; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, The Jaguars won the Holiday Basketball Tournament 
10Championship at The Gym in Springfield; they won the Regional 
1114 Championship against Jacksonville Turner and the Sectional 7 
12Championship against Lincoln Junior High School; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, The Head Coach of the Jaguars is Toby Gass; the 
14Assistant Coaches are Aundra Williams and Sean Webb; the 
15Principal of Jefferson Middle School is Sena Nelson; and the 
16Athletic Director is Patty Nikson; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, The members of the team are: Shaun Ewing, Aundrae 
18Williams, Gavin Webb, Daimione Champion, Mark Williams, 
19Yaakema Rose, Trevyon Williams, Jace Franklin, Chris Buckner, 
20Tavonte Douglas, Sidney Dandridge, Evan Meek, Justin Pettis, 
21and William Boles; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate the Jefferson Jaguars on an impressive season 
4and their State championship; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Coach Toby Gass as a symbol of our respect and 
7esteem.
