HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, Resurrection House began with 13 members meeting 
3at Resurrection House Inc., a not-for-profit residential 
4living facility for women reintegrating themselves back in 
5mainstream society; these 13 members began a Tuesday night 
6bible study and the vision began to grow and expand; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Pastor Marcus A. Randle began to look for a 
8permanent place of worship and soon found 244 West 138th 
9Street; on July 5, 2009, Resurrection House held its first 
10Sunday morning worship service; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, They were successful in launching a youth 
12ministry, "Generation Next";  a weekly bible study for the youth 
13was also started; the  women's affairs ministry, entitled "Women 
14on Fire for Christ" has grown by leaps and bounds reaching 
15women from all walks of life; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, "Men Resurrecting Men", a men's ministry was 
17started by the church; discipleship training classes, 
18intercessory prayer ministry, a recovery ministry, compassion 
19ministry, and a young adult ministry, called "Atmosphere 
20Changers For Christ" were also started; and
  
 
21    WHEREAS, Resurrection House Baptist Church has grown to a

1present congregation of 241 members in the last 2 years; 
2through  community outreach, the evangelism ministry 
3E.A.G.L.E.S., and acts of kindness, the church meets the needs 
4of the people in the area; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Resurrection House Baptist Church will celebrate 
6from February 24-26, 2012 with special services and programs; 
7therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we congratulate the congregation and pastor of Resurrection 
11House Baptist Church on this special occasion; and be it 
12further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to Pastor Marcus Randle as a symbol of our respect 
15and esteem.
