HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Captain Dan Roach 
4on his retirement from the Illinois State Police; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He received his education from Northern Illinois 
6University, St. Ambrose University, and the FBI National 
7Academy; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Over the course of his service in the Illinois 
9State Police he has received the Supervisors' Award, the 
10Director's Award for Merit, the Illinois MEG Directors' Award, 
11the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Award for Merit, the 
12District 7 Officer of the Year Award, the FBI Award 
13Certificate, the U.S. Attorney's Award Certificate, and many 
14others; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, His specialized duties with the Illinois State 
16Police over the years have included: serving as a Field 
17Training Agent, a Defensive Tactics Instructor, an Illinois 
18State Police Academy Instructor, and many others; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, His last position was serving as the Zone 3 
20Commander, which comprises 3 Illinois State Police districts 
21and 9 counties; and

1    WHEREAS, Captain Roach is married to Tammy and they have 2 
2children, Maggie and Nathan; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we congratulate Captain Dan Roach on his retirement and thank 
6him for his years of service to the people of the State of 
7Illinois; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Captain Dan Roach as a symbol of our respect and 
10esteem.
