HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4Quincy Notre Dame Lady Raiders volleyball team on the occasion 
5of winning the IHSA Class 2A championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Lady Raiders defeated Chicago Christian in a 
721-25, 26-24, 25-21 victory to achieve victory at the IHSA 
8Class 2A girls volleyball championship; the team ended their 
9season with an impressive 29-9 record; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, The Lady Raiders' victory marks the team's first 
11volleyball State title since 1998 and the team's fourth title 
12overall; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The members of the Lady Raiders are Annie Stella, 
14Grace Horman, Kristen Gengenbacher, Jenny Wellman, Jersee 
15Esterlein, Gracie Barnes, Maty Waterkotte, Kate Genenbacher, 
16Shannon Foley, Sarah Kase, Cassidy Foley, Heather Griswold, 
17Maria Welding, and Kari Ann Steinbrecher; the team's head coach 
18is Rich Meyer and the assistant coaches are Bill Starkey and 
19Janet Kroencke; and

  
 
20    WHEREAS, The Lady Raiders serve as models of hard work, 
21integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of

1Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate the members of the Quincy Notre Dame Lady 
5Raiders volleyball team on the occasion of winning the IHSA 
6Class 2A championship and wish them continued success and 
7happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the Quincy Notre Dame Lady Raiders volleyball team 
10as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
