HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Marge Probasco for 
4receiving the "2011 Most Dedicated Blood Drive Coordinator 
5Award" from the Illinois Coalition of Community Blood Centers; 
6and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, For over 18 years, Marge Probasco has played a 
8significant role in ensuring a safe and adequate blood supply 
9for her community; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, In 1993, Marge Probasco began helping her pastor 
11coordinate blood drives on behalf of Community Blood Services 
12of Illinois at the River Valley Church of Christ in Fisher; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, In 1998, Marge Probasco took over as coordinator 
14of the Fisher community blood drives; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Marge Probasco coordinates bimonthly blood drives 
16to take full advantage of the 56-day donation cycle; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Marge Probasco has served as the chairperson of 
18103 blood drives and is responsible for the collection of 2,357 
19pints of blood; and

1    WHEREAS, In addition to coordinating the logistics of her 
2blood drives, Marge Probasco is a master chef who prepares 
3baked goods for all her donors; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, In 2011, Community Blood Services of Illinois 
5nominated Marge Probasco as the "Most Dedicated Blood Drive 
6Coordinator" in a state-wide competition hosted by the Illinois 
7Coalition of Community Blood Centers; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we commend Marge Probasco for her years of selfless service and 
11commitment to the community and wish her continued success with 
12her blood drive efforts; and be it further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to Marge Probasco as a symbol of our respect and 
15esteem.
