HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Betty 
4Alexander-Bonds on the occasion of her 75th birthday; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Betty Alexander-Bonds earned her bachelor's 
6degree from the School of Free Salvation; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Betty Alexander-Bonds serves as an Associate 
8Minister at the True Vine Missionary Baptist Church in Dixmoor, 
9under the pastorate of Dr. Rev. Steven D. Lewis, Sr.; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Betty Alexander-Bonds is the founder of the Hoyne 
11Avenue Prayer Band in Dixmoor; she is also a member of the 
12Harvey Park District Senior Citizens Advisory Committee, the 
13Evangelistic Board of Gospel Music Workshop of America, and the 
14Metro Chapter of Chicago - Gospel Music Workshop of America; 
15and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Betty Alexander-Bonds is the loving mother of 
17seven children, the grandmother of 16 grandchildren, and the 
18great-grandmother of 18 great-grandchildren; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Betty Alexander-Bonds will celebrate her 75th 
20birthday with a celebration of her life at the Crystal Light

1Banquet Hall in Burbank on July 23, 2011; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, Betty Alexander-Bonds has served as a model of 
3hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the 
4State of Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
7we congratulate Betty Alexander-Bonds on the occasion of her 
875th birthday and wish her many happy and healthy years to 
9come; and be it further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to Betty Alexander-Bonds as a symbol of our esteem 
12and respect.
