HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, Chicago Executive Airport, formerly known as 
3Pal-waukee Municipal Airport, is the third busiest airport in 
4the State of Illinois; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Chicago Executive Airport has grown to become one 
6of the most important business aviation facilities in the 
7world; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Chicago Executive Airport is an economic 
9powerhouse of local, regional, national, and international 
10levels; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Chicago Executive Airport is home to 400 business 
12and general aviation aircraft and directly or indirectly 
13employs hundreds of highly skilled Illinois residents; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Chicago Executive Airport is marking the 25th 
15anniversary of it's purchase by the Village of Wheeling and the 
16City of Prospect Heights; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Chicago Executive Airport has prospered and grown 
18under the leadership and cooperation of these two fine 
19communities; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we proclaim June 27, 2011 as Chicago Executive Airport Day in 
4the State of Illinois; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the Chicago Executive Airport Management Team and 
7Board of Directors as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
