HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Stanton A. 
4Browning on the occasion of his 25 years of dedicated service 
5with the Greater Peoria Sanitary District; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Stanton Browning was raised in Woodhull and 
7attended school in the AlWood School District; he and his 
8loving wife of 26 years, Viv, have three adult children and one 
9grandson, Phil; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Stanton Browning earned his bachelor's degree in 
11civil engineering from Southern Illinois University - 
12Carbondale in 1975; he subsequently earned his master's degree 
13in environmental engineering from the University of Illinois in 
141977 and his MBA from Bradley University in 2004; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Stanton Browning began his career with the Greater 
16Peoria Sanitary District in 1986 as the District's Director of 
17Engineering; in 1990, he was selected to serve as Executive 
18Director of the District, where he has remained ever since; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Prior to his service at the Greater Peoria 
20Sanitary District, Stanton Browning served as a design engineer 
21with Daily and Associates from 1977 to 1982 and as a city

1engineer with the City of Centralia from 1982 to 1986; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, Stanton Browning is a Past President of the 
3Illinois Association of Wastewater Agencies (IAWA); he is a 
4current member of the IAWA's Executive Committee and a Co-Chair 
5of the organization's Legislative Committee; he is also the 
6Greater Peoria Sanitary District's representative for the 
7National Association of Clean Water Agencies and a member of 
8the Water Environment Association; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Stanton Browning serves as a model of hard work, 
10integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
11Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
13NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
14we congratulate Stanton A. Browning on the occasion of his 25 
15years of dedicated service with the Greater Peoria Sanitary 
16District and wish him continued success and happiness in the 
17future; and be it further
  
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
19presented to Stanton Browning as a symbol of our esteem and 
20respect.
