HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate  Patrick Horcher on 
4his retirement as a Trustee of the Village of Wheeling; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He has served as a Trustee of the Village of 
6Wheeling since May 1, 1995; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, He has worked as a Trustee to ensure that all of 
8the Village residents are provided with high-quality public 
9service; he has treated the citizens of Wheeling with dignity 
10and fairness during his tenure; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, He was instrumental in promoting diversity and 
12mutual respect in the community; he has helped to safeguard the 
13delivery of essential services to all citizens, regardless of 
14their social, economic, racial, or ethnic background; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, His valued perspective and unique expertise have 
16benefitted the Village of Wheeling and the broader region in a 
17number of capacities, not only with his service as a Trustee 
18but also with his work serving on the Cook County Farm Bureau 
19Board since 1994; in addition, he also served as the Acting 
20President of the Village of Wheeling from January 24, 2008 to 
21September 12, 2008; and

1    WHEREAS, After serving the Village of Wheeling for the past 
216 years, his tenure as a Trustee has come to an end; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we congratulate Patrick Horcher on his retirement as a Trustee 
7of the Village of Wheeling and wish him the best in his future 
8endeavors; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Patrick Horcher as a symbol of our respect and 
11esteem.
